How to Use BigPrint by Matthias Wandel to Make Large and Accurate Printouts

If you are looking for a way to make large and accurate printouts of your designs, plans, or templates, you might want to check out BigPrint by Matthias Wandel. BigPrint is a Windows program that allows you to print any image over multiple pages with precise alignment and scaling. Step 1: Download and Install BigPrint

Step 2: Open Your Image in BigPrint

Once you have installed BigPrint, you can open it from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut. To open your image in BigPrint, click on the File menu and select Open Image. You can also drag and drop your image file onto the BigPrint window. You can use any image format that Windows supports, such as JPG, PNG, BMP, etc.

After you open your image, you will see it displayed in the main window of BigPrint. You can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel or the buttons on the toolbar. You can also pan the image by clicking and dragging on it.

Step 3: Adjust the Print Settings

Before you print your image, you need to adjust some settings to make sure it fits your paper size and printer margins. To do this, click on the Print menu and select Print Settings. A dialog box will appear where you can change the following options:

Paper size: Choose the paper size that matches your printer. You can also enter a custom paper size if you need to.

Overlap: Choose how much overlap you want between adjacent pages. This will help you align them when gluing them together. You can enter a value in inches or millimeters.

Page numbers: Choose whether you want to print page numbers on each page. This will help you identify them when assembling them.

Grid lines: Choose whether you want to print grid lines on each page. This will help you align them when gluing them together. You can choose between diagonal or orthogonal grid lines.

Ink saver: Choose whether you want to use the ink saver feature. This feature will fade out solid areas that are not near any edges, saving ink and making it easier to see the edges.

Step 4: Print Your Image

After you have selected the pages, click OK to start printing. Make sure your printer is connected and loaded with paper. Wait for the printing process to finish.
